According to vaastu shastra ,each section of a garden resembles one of the five elements of PAANCH MAHA BOOTA .The SOUTH-WEST section of the house represents the earth,the NORTH -EAST accounts for water ,the SOUTH-EAST represents fire,while the NORTH-WEST represents air.Huge trees can be planted here,anything heavy such as rock garden etc. is good in SOUTH ,there should be less open space.There should be no water body,no swings,no swimming pool in the SOUTH.As SOUTH – WEST corner is the ANGLE OF THOUGHT ,there should be less open space here means rock garden,heavy exhibits etc. are best here.Plants that need high temperature can be planted here.

VASTU TIPS:

• Always have a Basil (tulsi) plant within the house at NORTH – EAST.
• Planting jasmine on either side of pathway is considered auspicious.
• Creepers should be grown in the garden only.
• Always keep the garden clean.
• The garden must be peaceful & tranquil.Make sure all plants are healthy & well maintained .
• Place water pot for thirsty birds at north east (its good karma).
• Avoid horny plants such as cactus,they bring tensions & weaken relationships.
• Avoid Bonsai Plants.
• The plants in the pots must be more than 3-4 feet tall.
• Milk bearing trees or plants are a strict no.
• AUSPICIOUS PLANTS ;Coconut,Sandalwood,Lemon,Almond,Mango,Neem tree.
